TRAFFIC TUNNELS

The Blanka tunnel complex, the longest city tunnel in Europe, consists of three tunnel sections, which are seamlessly connected and together represent a structure almost 6.4 km long. For this project, we carried out the design, supply and installation of aerodynamic components for ventilation routes and installed 88 fans for longitudinal ventilation on the tunnel ceiling. At present, we also provide a complete ventilation service.

MRÁZOVKA TUNNEL

The hill of the same name in Prague’s Smíchov intersects a 1.2 km long tunnel, which at the time of its opening in 2007 was voted the third safest building of its kind in Europe. For this project, we carried out the design, supply and installation of aerodynamic components for ventilation routes and installed 45 fans for longitudinal ventilation on the tunnel ceiling. At present, we also provide a complete ventilation service.

STRAHOV TUNNEL

The Strahov tunnel is an exceptional construction in the whole Czech Republic, which combines a 2 km long car tunnel with an extensive civil defence cover connected to the protective system of the Prague underground. Luwex employees participated in the installation of 11 main ventilation fans and during the reconstruction in 2017 they installed another 18 pieces. At present, we also provide a complete tunnel ventilation service.
